To close this year of partnership with Ideas Block – Kompresorinė, Transcultures is pleased to support the Art/CultureTech event, the highlight of the Vilnius 700 program, a proposal at the intersection of sound, music, AI-assisted creation, and blockchain, taking place within a 360° Ambisonic sound sphere.

In 2019, Gleb launched the international initiative “Sound changes the City,” which uses audio data/city models to explore aspects of acoustic ecology and sustainability in connection with psychology. This initiative presents sound as a unique means of social and global change, demonstrating how ambient sound design can impact urban environments. The first live performance of the AI Vilnius City Symphony with a string quartet took place in autumn 2019.

For this 2023 edition, the unique immersive sound creation is composed by “Musical Blockchain,” the first Creative AI music composer based on psychology, in collaboration with Gleb Divov, and designed from the data of his research project “Sound changes the City.” The symphony will be accompanied, on this occasion, by video projections on the theme of Vilnius, manipulated by an AI, based on various research data.

The event will be presented in Ambisonic format – a complete 360° surround-sound spherical experience hosted by Kompresorinė, the only independent space equipped with an Ambisonic sound system in the Baltic countries. Ambisonics is a technique for capturing, synthesizing, and reproducing a sound environment. The listener’s immersion in this virtual environment is achieved through a number of speakers. Apart from a few research labs, very few spaces in Europe currently offer this unique experience.

“AI Vilnius City Symphony” comprises the creative team: Musical Blockchain, Gleb Divov, Edvinas Gruodis Siliūnas, Roberto Becerra, Liucija Dervinyte, Kotryna Žilinskaitė, Natan Karczmar.

In 2019, Gleb Divov created the first Lithuanian NFT digital art piece Messier 87 black hole Sonic Process z0238rt.

In 2020, he launched Digital//Kalnas – the world's first physical multiverse digital/cryptoart gallery [blockchain-, NFT-, XR- and metaverse-activated, showcasing GalleryFrame and GalleryBox tech solutions] in the Republic of Užupis, Lithuania.

Digital//Kalnas became the flagship gallery of the Multiverse Gallery Network, connecting real-world/VR multiverse gallery spaces with NFT/cryptoart/digital art screen panels in the Baltic countries and Germany. Live/virtual exhibition tours, sales, canvas prints, reproductions, and more are featured.

In 2021, Gleb co-founded Token of Gratitude – an international charitable initiative (Canada/EU/USA) using organic musical inspiration and harnessing the power of AI and NFT technology to give back to the entertainment industry in an innovative and meaningful way by supporting music individuals in need.

In 2021, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania granted Gleb Divov the status of Artistic Creator of the Republic of Lithuania, acknowledging his extensive cultural and social work.
