Following the workshop and collective exhibition ‘The Secondary Sonic Space’ initiated in October 2018 by the association Simultan and Timisoara, European Capital of Culture in 2021 in partnership with Transcultures and Pépinières de Création, Transcultures Belgium and European Pepinieres supported this video directed by the young Romanian artist and curator Alex Boca.
The images play, in black and white split screen, with the urban daily of Timisoara and dialogue with the original soundtrack of Paradise Now who borrows some samplings Romanian folk pieces of Bela Bartok (native of the region) mixed with field recordings made in Timisoara and electronic treatments.
