Laureat of the MAP programme of European Pepinieres of Creation @ Transcultures (BE), Valkiri (FR) shows a first step of his environmental installation Mermedia, in Château Gilson (La Louvière – Belgium) as part of the biennale of contemporary art and heritage ARTour.

This installation designed for the exhibition Media Memories is an invitation to listen and relax. From old media, electronic toys, radio, cassette player, this technological unit from the past produces an environment that could evoke that of a seaside in calm weather.

Time passes, freezes and leaves like the bag and the surf. People are talking in the distance. The wind comes sliding along the skin. The visitor is invited to lie down in a deckchair to be immersed in a zen and refreshing audio atmosphere.

A second step of this variable geometry device will be presented at City Sonic, International Festival of Sound Arts, in Louvain-la-Neuve (and in Walloon Brabant) from November 21 to December 1, 2019.
