After two weeks of workshop<\/a> (at the art school of Tourcoing from January 24 to 28, 2022 then at that of Mons, from January 31 to February 3) coordinated by artists\/teachers Silvain Vanot<\/a> and Julien Poidevin<\/a>, the GMLR (twin studio) which is the sound studio shared by the art school of Tourcoing and the one of Mons ARTS\u00b2, dedicates an exhibition to an effect rarely studied.<\/p>\n In the 18th century, European travelers were surprised by the apparent disorder that reigned in the gardens of the Far East, far removed from the aesthetics of French gardens. Their hosts spoke of \u201cSharawadji\u201d; the term was then translated by \u201cgracious disorder\u201d. The word reappears as it is at the end of the 20th century in the sound field to describe an effect when harmony arises where it is not expected.<\/p>\n In a variety of devices, fourteen Belgian and French students work together on these outpourings of paradoxical beauty, always surprising to produce installations and sound devices.
