Laureat of the MAP programme of European Pepinieres of Creation @ Transcultures<\/a> (BE),\u00a0Valkiri<\/a> (FR) shows a first step of his environmental installation Mermedia<\/em>, in Ch\u00e2teau Gilson (La Louvi\u00e8re – Belgium) as part of the biennale of contemporary art and heritage ARTour<\/a>. <\/p>\n

This installation designed for the exhibition Media Memories is an invitation to listen and relax.<\/span> From old media, electronic toys, radio, cassette player, this technological unit from the past produces an environment that could evoke that of a seaside in calm weather.<\/span><\/p>\n

Time passes, freezes and leaves like the bag and the surf.<\/span> People are talking in the distance.<\/span> The wind comes sliding along the skin.<\/span> The visitor is invited to lie down in a deckchair to be immersed in a zen and refreshing audio atmosphere.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

A second step of this variable geometry device will be presented at City Sonic, International Festival of Sound Arts<\/a>, in Louvain-la-Neuve (and in Walloon Brabant) from November 21 to December 1, 2019.<\/p>\n
